How Do You Play Horrified
All of the players will win or lose together in the game Horrified, which is played cooperatively.
To emerge victorious, you will need to vanquish every enemy. You can choose the level of difficulty that is most suitable for you by determining the number of foes you want to take on at once: two, three, or four.
The Hero Phase and the Monster Phase are the two phases that occur during each turn.
Hero Phase
During the Hero Phase, you will carry out a specified number of activities, which can be seen on your character badge. Since each player’s character is distinct, the total number of actions available to each player may be varied.
You can travel around the board, pick up any items from your Hero’s space, advise villagers, use Items to advance a Monster’s work, take special actions, or defeat Monsters while this phase is active.
In addition, a player may play any number of their Perk Cards. Players acquire these cards by assisting other Villagers in the game, and they grant the player additional abilities. These cards can be used during the turn of any player, not just yours; you are not the only one with this ability.
The next phase is the Monster Phase, which begins as soon as the last player has completed all of their actions and played any Perk cards they desire to play.
Monster Phase
Players will flip over a card from the Monster’s deck during the Monster Phase.
Three issues on this card need to be settled:
A variety of things to arrange on the board An occurrence involving a villager or monster whereby Monsters StrikePlayers will move the Monsters, resolve the event, and replenish the board with supplies. Monsters advance the number of spaces given on the card in the direction of the hero or villager closest to them, stopping only if they come into contact with a human. Monsters attack one individual in a room with them.
To determine the outcome of the attack, players roll dice. An attack symbol on a dice roll struck the target. To avoid being defeated and being sent to the hospital, players must choose to discard an item. When assaulted, villagers are quickly vanquished and removed from the board.
The Terror Level rises by one each time a player or villager is vanquished.
Game End
Until the Monsters are vanquished and the player wins, the Terror Level reaches its maximum, and the player loses, or the Monster deck is depleted. The player loses, and the players alternately take turns.

The game Horrified is superbly themed and mechanically friendly, allowing the entire family to play together!
You don’t necessarily need to love monster or spooky movies. Our household isn’t! I like that the game isn’t terrifying because I’m a mother. It maintains a pleasant, welcoming tone and is cleverly themed around these timeless monsters. There are no cards that feature graphic gore or scary imagery. This game is a hit with our kids, who often have a poor threshold for anything terrifying.
It’s also crucial to mention that, in my opinion, Horrified is not just a family game. This is equally as entertaining for a group of adults only as it is for a family.
Controlling the difficulty level is quite simple. You can opt to play a less challenging game by facing two monsters, or you can attempt a challenging game by facing four. Two Monsters is the ideal family game for youngsters, according to our research. With fewer complex monster rules to overwhelm younger players, the group is given a manageable challenge. You won’t always succeed every time, though. Even two creatures might be incredibly challenging!
We particularly liked that players were not automatically eliminated if a monster attacked them. They reset in the hospital and can carry on with their game. The threat tracker continues to rise when you take damage from a monster, but you can still play normally.
How Does It Play With Two?
Although we feel that three and four players are our favorite player counts, horrified works wonderfully with two. The game can become significantly more challenging at a smaller player count because you have a harder time moving from one spot to another, depending on whatever monsters and characters you select.
There is a lot to do, as was already noted, so it’s excellent to have a large group of people nearby to share the workload. Anything different from a cooperative would not surprise me. Fortunately, the turns are brief, and everyone is incentivized to pay attention in between rounds owing to the Perk cards, which can be played during anyone’s turn.
If you wish to include everyone, you can play it with six people (like we did).
