Despite Season 2 of Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled to end on February 1, a data mine reveals the season’s release will be delayed into later February.
The Chimera Assault Rifle, Shipment multiplayer, and the game’s first Raid were all added in Season 1 Reloaded’s December 14 update for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
Since then, there have been a few upgrades that have fixed bugs and brought back loadout drops to buy stations, but players are eagerly anticipating the upcoming content drop with the February Season 2 update.
The Battle Pass timer in-game indicates that Season 1 would expire on February 1; however, an update to the game files indicates the update has been postponed.
Final bundle date for Season 1:

The final Season 1 bundle will come on February 2 and the “dates end on February 15” indicate that Season 2 will begin on that day, according to data miner CODSploitz, who has previously successfully predicted the delivery dates for bundles.
This would result in a two-week delay as well as a two-month gap between content releases.
The update for Vanguard Season 2 last year was postponed from February 1 to February 14 to give the developers additional time to work on reliability, bug repairs, and “optimizations to gameplay and game balance,” and the update was finally released on February 15 as planned.

As the game files now purportedly indicate that Season 1 would run through February 15, there appears to be a probability that the same may occur once more. Naturally, given that the game files don’t often present an accurate picture, this is far from being an official confirmation.
Although Season 2 has not yet been officially confirmed, sources indicate that it will include the first Resurgence map for Warzone 2, Gun Game, Gunfight, and Cranked for MW2 multiplayer, as well as the Crossbow and Vepr-12 Shotgun for both games.
