When a PlayStation exclusive is eventually released on the PC, one thing is certain. That in the days, weeks, and months after its release, there will be a tonne of bizarre and amazing mods available. Marvel’s Spider-Man may be the PlayStation version that has been modified the most, but up until this point, no one has taken home the prize for the greatest and possibly creepiest mod.
The image that comes to mind when you think of Spider-Man probably varies from person to person. Your age, the platform on which you have seen Spider-Man the most, and—most importantly—who you believe has been the finest Spiderman throughout the years will determine which version of the web-slinger comes to mind.
The Garfield Skin Looks Excellent
For many of you, the image that comes to mind is Andrew Garfield dressed in red and blue. Alas, that isn’t the Spider-Man that appears in Insomniac’s game and swings through New York City. Before now. A mod made by Rezauddin Nur gives the main character a Garfield skin. Not the orange cat, but Garfield the man, is that? For that mod, Stray must be played.

The Garfield skin that you can download and use through Nexus Mods looks excellent, in contrast to certain mods that look OK but awkward. You could even say that it appears a little too spectacular. As you can see in the image above, Garfield appears to be a touch unsettling in Spider-Man remastered, though I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s a result of the lingering smile that is indelible on his face and the knowledge that he is not supposed to be there.
Some of you may be utilizing Spider-Man mods to pass the time as you wait for the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Insomniac has continued to promise Spidey fans that the sequel will release in the fall even though there hasn’t been a new trailer since the game was revealed roughly 18 months ago. This week’s State of Play did not feature the game either because Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League gameplay predominated the presentation.
