Even though Super Smash Bros. Ultimate may no longer receive official support, new characters are still being added to the game. The game’s modding community is rather active and has been adding a variety of new characters through model swaps and other techniques.
However, one of BeyondSmash’s most recent mods, which lets you control the beautiful little owl Rowlet from Pokemon, must be in the running for the cutest.
By showcasing their Rowlet mod on Twitter, BeyondSmash demonstrates both Rowlet in usage and a few of the variations you may choose from, which display Rowlet in various colors and outfits.
Beyond Smash has gone above and beyond to include special animations and allusions to Rowlet’s appearance in the Pokemon anime, even if this Rowlet model is a replacement for Jigglypuff.
For instance, Rowlet will flap his wings while he runs and floats, and he will even change the features of his face to fit some of the sillier ones from the anime. In order to make Rowlet’s inclusion feel a little more genuine, another modder by the name of Dom-O added his custom voice lines.
His moveset is generally the same as Jigglypuff’s, but the mod has a more official appearance than many others due to the continuously changing facial expressions and other little animations. Even a reference to one of the most well-known reaction memes on social media can be seen in Rowlet’s guard.

You may download the mod by going to BeyondSmash’s GameBanana page if you want to try it out for yourself. The Smash announcer will still mention Jigglypuff on the victory screen, so be warned that the mod isn’t flawless, though a fan’s note in the comments to the mod showcase on Twitter suggests that it might be changed in the future.
However, if you’re looking for a little more Pokemon presence in Smash and Jigglypuff simply isn’t cutting it for you, this is the ideal option right now.
