The most recent model in Alienware’s Aurora line of gaming computers is the Aurora R15. The 13th generation Intel Raptor Lake processor and the RTX 40 series GPU are both included for the first time ever on a Dell computer.
Although Dell chose the best components, the price is still far higher than what the majority of gamers can afford. The Intel Core i7-13700KF has an astounding 16 cores and 24 threads, with a turbo-boosted clock speed of 5.4GHz. It outperforms the i7 Alder Lake and competes favorably with AMD’s top-tier Ryzen 9 7700X processor.
Even more potent than AMD’s most recent AMD Radeon RX 9700 XTX, the RTX 4080 and 4090 are the most potent video cards available right now. The 4080 is 50% faster than the 3080 Ti, while the 4090 is 90% faster, making them noticeably more potent than RTX 30 series cards. The R15 significantly improves the processor’s cooling. The R15 employs a 240mm AIO cooler in place of the prior models’ 120mm AIO cooler for cooling the CPU. Lower and more consistent CPU temperatures should result from having twice as many fans and twice as much surface area.
Upgrade to “Crytech” cooling for an additional $50 to get a slightly thicker radiator, RGB lights, and better fans. For enough ventilation for the video card as well, the chassis contains three additional 120mm fans. The enormous 1350W PSU that powers the R15 should be able to handle everything you can throw at it. Although they can be altered, the configurations described have 512GB of SSD storage and 16GB of DDR5 RAM.
