Season 2 of MultiVersus has been a bit of a letdown, even for the most devoted of players. The game’s creator, Player First, has been steadily adding new characters to keep things interesting, but ever since Marvin was included, they have been hesitant to do so.
That might soon change, though, as new data mine hints at the potential preparation of several characters for Season 3, including Samurai Jack and Pickle Rick.
The latter is where we’ll start because MultiVersus trustworthy data miner LaisulMV has discovered a new character with the codename “C020B” has been added to the game’s files.
The 20th character to be added to MultiVersus was Rick from Rick & Morty, indicating that this new character is a variant even though it would be pure nonsense on its own.
Many fans appear to believe that this new character is Pickle Rick, who may end up becoming a fully playable character rather than just a skin, along with new Perks nicknamed Ketchup, Laser, and Grapple.
Samurai Jack’s potential participation has been reported for a while, but this fresh data mine has added yet another piece of supporting information. When a string of code referencing a stage called Aku’s Mountain—the bad guy in the show—was found in November of last year, it was speculated that Samurai Jack would be included in the game.
Aku’s Fire, a ring-out animation that was recently discovered by this latest data mine, may have been created by Player First in preparation for the character’s potential Season 3 unveiling.

The Joker is the likely candidate to be added next, according to the wise man. The Clown Prince of Crime is up next, as suggested by sound samples for his walk and a Joker-related ring out that were discovered in the game last year. Season 3 is looking much more exciting with the recently reported additions of Samurai Jack, Pickle Rick, and Data from The Goonies.
