During the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Ram revealed its 1500 REV electric truck idea to the public for the first time. The official debut took place earlier this month. Enthusiastic early adopters had the opportunity to reserve a 2024 model for themselves by making a deposit of $100 for participation in the Ram REV Insider+ programme.
Stellantis, however, stopped taking pre-orders around the end of the previous week, citing “membership full capacity” as the reason. Early on Friday morning, the initial report of the shutdown was published on a forum dedicated to the Ram 1500 REV, and Jalopnik verified with the manufacturer that reservations had in fact been exhausted. The outlet was not provided with any additional information regarding the amount of memberships that were purchased or the potential reopening date of the business.
During the official unveiling of the electric truck that took place on Super Bowl Sunday, Ram showed off a model that more closely resembles its gas-powered siblings than the futuristic design that was on display at CES.

This is not an unusual occurrence, given that Ford’s F-150 Lightning is extremely similar to the company’s already immensely successful lineup. We still don’t know very much about the specifications of the 1500 REV, but Car and Driver claims that it will have a battery pack that is capable of rapid charging at 350 kilowatts and it is built on an architecture that supplies 800 volts. Ram is aiming for a driving range of up to 500 miles and a towing capacity of over 10,000 pounds with their new lineup.

A motorised midgate allowed for the inside of the Ram concept vehicle to be redesigned in such a way that it could accommodate three rows of seating. When the midgate is down, the 1500 REV has the capacity to transport objects that are up to 18 feet in length.
At this point, it is unknown whether such options for storage and seating will be included on the final version of the manufacturing vehicle. We also do not know the precise price of the vehicle, but based on our research, we anticipate that it will be priced similarly to the F-150 Lightning, which begins its price range at just about $56,000.
