The new sandwich minigame is without a doubt the best new thing in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Even though the animation of your trainer eating a sandwich is funny, the sandwiches themselves look pretty good. In fact, a group of YouTubers tried to make sandwiches from Scarlet & Violet in real life.
There have also been some side effects of the new sandwich mechanic that were not planned. In the unofficial minigame Sandwich Tower, you try to stack as many bacon slices as you can. Another one from Japanese social media is called “Sandwich Explosives” because it sends the player into orbit with a big explosion.
Here’s How The Bug Works
First, go to West Province (Area One) and get on top of the lighthouse. Next, have a picnic, but set up the table so that it goes through one of the tall columns. Now, make a sandwich, but place the ingredients so they fall on the pillar instead of the sandwich. If you do it right, the camera will start to move up the pillar as you add more ingredients until the game completely breaks and sends you above the stratosphere.

Some very interesting things can be seen from this high above the Paldea Region. One of the biggest differences is that the world in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is not flat but round. The colour of the world-changing throughout the day is a close second. At night, the world is dark navy blue, but during the day, it is bright blue. The colour of the evening is red. All of this, I’m guessing, is done so that the world’s lighting stays believable during the day/night cycle.
The bug is hard to copy, according to Destructoid, so don’t expect to start your own Pokemon space programme on the first try. But I’d still tell trainers to try this bug at least once because of the amazing view and the way astronauts say they see things differently when they come back from space.
