Before the game’s full release on consoles, PC, and Game Pass, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will have one more demo. Players will be lured in with a cool helmet that will carry over until the game’s release, just as in the previous demo.
The new Nioh-like game from Team Ninja will be available for testing on February 24. You’ll take on the role of an anonymous soldier in this Three Kingdoms-era fantasy setting, where dragons, monsters, and demons are all too common. We’re still a little unsure about the protagonist’s motivations, but you’ll be equipped with a variety of weapons, gear, spells, and god patrons.
But the fighting is really cool. Players will be able to execute beautiful combos, mid-air attacks, and devastating final blows to adversaries with broken spirits. This game is a clear progression of Nioh’s fluid mechanics, which Team Ninja has become known for.
With the aid of a morale system, your character can unleash powerful spells and special attacks from an ever-expanding bar of potential energy. Enemies have a spirit bar as well, and the more damage they deal, the more spirit they’ll gain to become even more difficult adversaries.
#WoLongFallenDynasty demo is coming February 24! Play it on #PlayStation4 #PlayStation5 #XboxOne, Series X|S, #Steam & Microsoft store!

There are no difficulty settings, and Wo Long may be “punishing” Nioh newcomers, as we mentioned in our review of the previous demo in September. Wo Long also has elements similar to Souls, such as player invasions or foes that reappear after you recover at a checkpoint. Like the Looking Glass Knight in Dark Souls 2, some NPCs will even summon other players to battle you as their minions.
Wo Long’s fighting can be challenging for newcomers, but it can also be very rewarding once you master it. It’s the most satisfying dance of fighting I’ve encountered since Sekiro, according to our own Issy Van Der Velde.
Players will receive the Crouching Dragon Helmet for taking part in the final demo, which will be released on February 24, and saved game data will carry over to the finished game when it launches on March 3. It will run on every platform, unlike the previous demo. Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam will all receive Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Additionally, Game Pass will get it.
