Nintendo Switch Online Member Benefits
Cloud saves
Switch Online allows you to back up your progress by storing your saved games on the cloud. If you need to wipe your Switch or run out of storage space, you’ll still have a backup to download later. However, there is a catch: not all games will save to the cloud. Some are blocked by Nintendo to “ensure fair play,” whatever that means.

Rewards and Missions
The Nintendo Switch Online hub’s Missions & Rewards section assigns activities such as “play software that supports online play” or game-specific goals such as “play the NES version of Super Mario Bros”.
Each task accomplished will reward you Platinum Points, which can be exchanged for digital products (such as themes) or merchandise on Nintendo’s website. They can replace your Switch profile picture’s icons, frames, and backgrounds. Platinum Points differ from Gold Points (commonly acquired when purchasing games through Nintendo) and expire after six months, so remember to spend them.
