Fans were looking for anything new to be immersed in to pass the time after hearing that MultiVersus Season 2 will now run through March 31.
The most frequently requested feature, Ranked Mode, will eventually be permanently added to the game as part of the game’s upcoming update. Although most players have been pleading for a new character, MultiVersus creator Player First has managed to give the next best thing.
Throughout Season 2, Player First has given players a brief opportunity to check out Ranked Mode before removing it again to make additional adjustments. Although a precise release date has not yet been specified, it now appears that the mode is ready to go and will be released at some point next week.
Even better, MultiVersus appears to have taken player complaints into consideration and outlawed, as trustworthy data miner LaisulMV tweeted shortly after the news that double-character teams will no longer be permitted in Ranked Mode.
This update will be a nice reprieve for those who are still working on the Battle Pass or enjoying the occasional 2v2 match. Even the staunchest supporters of the game have realized that MultiVersus has been losing a sizable chunk of its player base month after month for quite some time.
Fans are satisfied for the time being because there is something fresh to dive into in the near future, but maybe a new character will appear sooner rather than later.

As for who that could be, it was discovered that Pickle Rick and Samurai Jack both have files that are now present in the game and that The Joker already has voice lines and sound effects present.
Those are some promising possibilities right now, but MultiVersus followers are so desperate for new material that the addition of John from the neighboring house might cause a frenzy.
