You had to essentially replay the campaign three times in order to unlock the Stasis subclass on all three of your Guardians in Destiny 2′s Beyond Light expansion. Although it was a good campaign, there were some moments that went on much longer than they needed to.
To ease the grind a little, Bungie eventually lowered the requirements for unlocking Stasis Fragments and Aspects, but some Guardians still don’t have Stasis unlocked on all three characters.
Lightfall promises to alter that. Bungie is introducing a new kind of character booster that will allow you to skip the Lightfall campaign if you pay some silver, as was stated in yesterday’s TWAB.
There will be two character boosters in Lightfall as opposed to just one. The standard level-based character booster from Destiny 2 will be the first.
That is the one where you can level up your side characters to the soft cap for 200 silver. In order to unlock the new Strand subclasses on your off-mains, you can pay to skip replaying the Lightfall campaign with the second option, which is called the “Lightfall Campaign Skip Boost.”
It should be noted that unless you’ve also reached the soft level cap on your main Guardian, using this skip won’t necessarily result in a level boost for your off-main Guardians. In addition, according to Bungie, you won’t receive any of the associated victories or any of the items and upgrade materials you would have received for completing the campaign.
The new paid campaign skip has gotten some mixed reviews. Many people claim that the campaign skip is essentially the same as what other MMOs already do and that it doesn’t give anyone an unfair advantage, so they don’t see anything wrong with it.

You are merely paying to avoid having to grind through content. Others point out that making campaign and Strand progress account-wide unlockable with the option for players to replay the campaign or even individual missions if they so choose would have been a bit more player-friendly.
On February 28, Lightfall launches for Destiny 2.
