Google has stated that it is working on Bard, a chatbot that wants to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. This comes as the relevance of artificial intelligence (AI) continues to expand.
In a recent blog post, Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said that the soon-to-be-released tool will be a “experimental conversational AI service” that will attempt to imitate human communication. It is marketed to users as a powerful resource that may help them find answers to specific questions that they may have, such as how to bake a cake or determine the number of Grammy Awards that Beyoncé has earned. .
Google CEO Pichai states in the blog post that the objective of the Bard project is to “combine the power, intelligence, and creativity of our huge language models with the depth of the world’s knowledge.” “In order to deliver responses that are current and of a high quality, it draws on information from the web.”

This announcement comes after ChatGPT, which initially debuted as a prototype in late November and has since shown a rise in user engagement.
A few weeks ago, the multinational technology company Microsoft said that it will be investing several millions of dollars towards OpenAI. And earlier today, Microsoft made an announcement regarding the release of new versions of its Bing and Edge search engines. These new versions leverage the same AI technological base that is used by ChatGPT.
According to what was mentioned in the post, Bard is presently accessible to a select number of “trust testers.” However, Pichai assured that the application would be “more freely available to the public in the coming weeks.”
