However, several players encountered troubles upon attempting to access the server, such as long loading times and error messages.
With reports of wait times of up to an hour, gamers resorted to Twitter to issue a warning and make fun of the situation.
In spite of it being midday, the overcrowded servers and lengthy wait times have not improved. A recent tweet from the official Diablo account addressed the problems, reading, “We are cognizant of the problems affecting Open Beta Early Access, which have resulted in extended waiting periods and server disconnections.
The team is controlling the influx of new participants until the connection problems are fully resolved.”The Blizzard website is where players can keep tabs on any patches or updates that have been implemented.
Diablo, a verified user, has just posted information on Twitter about the same event –
We are aware of the issues impacting Open Beta Early Access, leading to long queue times and server disconnections.
The team is managing the rate of players entering the game until we have a full fix for the connection issues.

Blizzard previously cautioned players to plan ahead for queue times and to stay in line even if they were still on the waiting screen after the queue timer had expired:
“During Early Access Beta Weekend, there could be a wait for players to get into Diablo IV. It’s possible the queue timer’s countdown will end up being longer than the time allotted. If you leave the queue, you’ll have to wait again. On Open Beta Weekend, we’ll have better timers in place.”
Meanwhile, players on the console side have been venting their concerns in a discussion on the Blizzard forums after being kicked from the line multiple times after waiting the full allotted time.
With a game as highly anticipated as the upcoming installment in Blizzard’s long-running ARPG franchise, delays, and server troubles are par for the course in betas, which are partly meant as stress tests before a full launch.
Yet, waiting is never a pleasant experience. Let’s hope things get sorted out so I can start gathering zombies for my army of necromancers. Watch the opening 17 minutes of Diablo IV’s beta for more information.
