Avatar 2 Has Surpassed Star Wars. At the box office, the movie Avatar: The Way of Water is a juggernaut that cannot be stopped. The film directed by James Cameron has caused quite a stir across the globe and has been ruling the box office for more than a month at this point.
The fantasy adventure movie has now moved up to the number four spot on the all-time box office earnings chart. Avatar: The Way of Water has reportedly amassed a total of $2.075 billion at the box office, as reported by Variety. This indicates that the movie has broken the previous record held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was $2.071 billion and was set in 2015.
In addition to this, the movie was able to earn more money than Avengers: Infinity War, which was previously the second-highest grossing picture in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie could possibly end up surpassing Titanic’s record, since it just has to make an additional 120 million dollars to move into third place.
This comes only one week after another major character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, Spider-Man: No Way Home, was killed off in the film.

According to what James Cameron had predicted, in order for Avatar: The Way of Water to break even, it will need to be the third or fourth biggest earning film of all time. This also adds to the accomplishments of Zoe Saldaa. The movies in which she has appeared have grossed close to $14 billion at the worldwide box office.
In addition, Avatar: The Way of Water was granted an extension to its theatrical run in China, where it has become the highest grossing Hollywood film ever released in that country. The director has also lately mentioned which character will play the role of the new narrator in the franchise’s subsequent flicks.
