Apple has just today added refurbished versions of the iPad mini 6 and iPad Pro 2021 models to its online refurbished store, marking the first time that the tablets will be available at a price reduction.
The iPad mini 6 now has a starting price of $419 for the 64GB model, which is a $80 reduction from the original starting price tag of $499. Apple is providing customers with a wide variety of colour options, in addition to a 256GB model that can be purchased for $549—a $100 savings.
The iPad mini 6 was initially released in September 2021, and it has a display that goes all the way to the edges, a design that is similar to that of the iPad Air, and a Touch ID button. Apple’s smallest tablet offering comes in at 7.9 inches and is referred to as the iPad mini.
The price of a refurbished third-generation 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $639 for 128GB of storage, while the price of a refurbished fifth-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at $889 for the same amount of storage space. There is a choice between the Space Gray and Silver colour options, and there are also iPad Pro models with higher storage tiers and cellular connectivity that can be purchased at a discount.
Both the 11-inch and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro models that were just added to Apple’s refurbished store today were first made available to the public in 2021, and they both utilise M1 chips from an earlier generation. The iPad Pro lineup was updated by Apple in October 2022, and M2 chips were introduced at that time.
The availability of the various refurbished iPad models will change over time as Apple introduces new products and as existing products are purchased, so customers who are interested in a particular configuration or colour may want to check back frequently.
Apple’s refurbished products go through a thorough testing of their functionality as part of the refurbishment process, so you can be sure that they are virtually indistinguishable from brand-new models. Refurbished products have the same 14-day return policy as new Apple devices and are eligible for the AppleCare+ extended warranty programme.
