Anime Nier: Automata References Replicant Desert City Facade: According to reports, the recently released anime Nier: Automata makes homage to a well-known scene from the desert city Facade in the predecessor game Nier Replicant.
Before accessing this well-known location where the player character and Kaine from Nier Replicant have their initial contact with the residents of Facade, known as the Masked People, the character 9S from Nier: Automata can be seen hacking a robot.
“Hello? Hello! A direct allusion to Nier Replicant? On the social media site Twitter, a business insider by the name of Aitaikimochi said, “9S hacked a robot and entered into this scenario from a replicant. The reputation of Aitaikimochi as having first access to the major anime and video game releases in Japan is well-known.

In Nier Replicant, there is a place called Facade that takes the shape of a desert metropolis ruled by thousands of mostly illegible and seemingly useless regulations. The Masked People live in this area of the game world and are ruled by the King of Facade. A river of sand, which may be crossed by a ferry, flows beneath the location’s many levels of buildings, which are connected by a network of walkways.
The anime had its world premiere in Japan on January 7. The program “tells the story of androids 2B, 9S, and A2 and their struggle to recover the machine-driven dystopia overtaken by mighty machines,” according to Square Enix.
According to the publisher, “mechanical beings from another globe have pushed humanity off the Earth. The human resistance deploys a squad of android troops to destroy the invaders in a last-ditch bid to retake the planet. Currently, a conflict between robots and androids is raging; this conflict may soon reveal a long-forgotten truth about the universe.
This follows reports that the show’s remaining episodes have been delayed due to the effects the ongoing pandemic has been having on the production schedule, even though the first three episodes of the series have already aired. Beginning on January 28, the first three episodes of the anime will be rebroadcast; the remaining episodes will be made available to viewers at a later date that has not yet been announced.
