In less than a day, 50 Cent removed an Instagram post with the Vice City logo, which many interpreted as a hint that the rapper would appear in GTA 6.
Yesterday, the rapper 50 Cent posted something on Instagram that appeared to be teasing some major news. “I will explain this later, GLG (green traffic light emoji) GreenLightGang this shit bigger than POWER trust me,” 50 Cent wrote next to the logo for GTA Vice City. The Vice City logo was used, and since GTA 6 is said to be set there, it has been assumed that 50 Cent will be a part of Rockstar’s upcoming hit title.
Whether or not that supposition is accurate, it appears that 50 Cent may have a little bit overreacted when sharing his Instagram post.
The Instagram post that Cent made yesterday has already been taken down, as noted by Redditor l lux l on the GTA 6 subreddit, which seems to indicate that Rockstar asked him to do so.
It’s Possible That 50 Cent Appears In GTA 6 As A Character
Even though Rockstar confirmed that GTA 6 was in development last year, it’s understandable that the company wouldn’t want a post that explicitly teases upcoming game content to remain online, even if everyone has already seen and is talking about it.
This is because GTA 6 hasn’t been officially revealed yet. Also, a significant acquisition for GTA is 50 Cent, so Rockstar likely wants to keep that a secret. After all, enough information about GTA 6 has already been leaked without its consent.
Although most GTA fans would assume that 50 Cent’s songs would play on the radio, it’s possible that he’ll appear in the game as a real character, either portraying a fictionalized version of himself or someone else entirely. It wouldn’t be the first time GTA had done something similar either, as famous people have previously appeared in a number of games, including comedians in GTA 4. A recent GTA Online expansion that Dr. Dre was a major part of may have served as the inspiration for 50 Cent’s participation.
