Video games based on the popular LEGO series have been available for some time. Traveler’s Tales has been in charge of the brick-based action-adventure games since the 2005 Star Wars remake. But, in LEGO 2K Drive, a brand-new facet of the Property is revealed.
The forthcoming game, published by 2K, was recently revealed, and its logo features the company’s distinctive “2K” moniker. As an open-world arcade racer, it hopes to breathe new life into the series. So, outside the vague “racing genre,” what exactly is it? Let’s take a closer look at the game
Sky Trophy to be the finest LEGO 2K Drive racer
Taking place in Bricklandia, the story mode launches players into an all-new adventure full of surprises and thrills. The Sky Cup Grand Prix is the biggest racing event in the globe, and players must build their vehicles like LEGO people to compete. Many of the available racecars take their design cues from real-world LEGO sets. These include not only boats and a McLaren-inspired model but also fast sports automobiles.

Yes, the game’s races will take place on a wide range of surfaces. In this way, vehicles can switch between different modes as needed. Take Ubisoft’s The Crew as an illustration of this method in action. Gamers will participate in these challenging races for the Sky Trophy, which features other challenging rivals. Yet, the twisty race tracks will be littered with powerups like in Nintendo’s Mario Kart titles.
They can be offensive weapons like rockets or defensive shields to protect against harm. Yet, the highlight of the presentation is the adaptable automobile. In the Garage, players can build their own cars from the ground up, piece by piece, molding their chosen means of speed and destruction from the bricks themselves. With only the players’ imaginations as a limiting factor, this may lead to some truly odd autos, like one fashioned like a hamburger.
Nevertheless, that’s not all. Many objectives, minigames, and environments await you out in the world. Like Microsoft’s Forza Horizon games, but with actual LEGO bricks instead of cars. You’ll need to race across different biomes and fulfill challenges in each one if you want to prove that you’re the best driver in all of Bricklandia.
Also, you and up to three other pals can have a lot of laughs in the co-op mode. All of this is wrapped up in the series’ trademark clean and amusing LEGO comedy.
