White Bomberman
The main character of the Bomberman series is Bomberman, sometimes known as White Bomberman. He is the leader of the Bomberman race, the dominant species on Planet Bomber.
He, like other Bombermen, possesses the ability to manufacture explosive devices. The games in the series often change his appearance and personality, so he appears in a wide variety of guises. Frequently, he is the one to avert doom for Earth, the galaxy, or the cosmos at large.
His other moniker, Shiro Bom, means “White Bomber” in the Japanese GameCube games and “Cheerful White” in the English versions of the Bomberman Land titles. In some cases, “Shiro” is used instead of the full name in the Japanese translations.
Black Bomberman
Black Bomberman, or Black Bomber for short, is pivotal in the Bomberman franchise. He possesses the power to produce bombs and is a member of the Bombermen, the native race of Planet Bomber. He had his crew of Bombermen and was in charge of the Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow squads. He claims to be both White Bomberman’s closest ally and most formidable foe.
His Japanese moniker, Kuro Bom, means “Black Bomb” in Bomberman Hero and “Cool Black” in the English localizations of the Bomberman Land series. From time to time, “Kuro” is used instead of “Kuro” in Japanese publications.
