Street Fighter 6 Beta Release Date
The first beta test for Street Fighter 6 ran from October 7-10. There were only eight slots available, and Ken was the most recent addition. Capcom has announced that the next beta test will run from December 16th to the 19th.
The second beta’s most notable improvement is a setting that allows players with 120Hz screens to lessen input delay; Capcom says this setting should also benefit those with 60Hz displays. Nothing has changed in terms of the layout of the stage or the personnel choices.
World Tour Mode for Street Fighter 6
At the beginning of June, the announcement trailer for Street Fighter 6 was released, showcasing several places across Metro City, such as Abigail’s Scrap Yard, the city’s subway system, and a crowded neighborhood gym. In World Tour mode, players can explore Metro City as though it were an open world.
Starting up at Buckler Security, players are introduced to their coach, Luke, who enrolls them in an introductory training program. The trailer’s prominent hooded character may be personalized by users with a variety of clothes from the Battle Hub.

As the first trailer’s World Tour section draws to a close, our protagonist appears to engage in combat with an unknown individual, transitioning to the more familiar third-person battle angel.
Since the stranger is missing all of the usual character flourishes, it can only be assumed that they are bespoke characters as well. Because Capcom has stated that the World Tour mode will be unlike any other in the Street Fighter series, it is possible that after all of these years we will, at last, be able to participate in a side-scrolling beat ’em up.
It was also confirmed by the official Capcom Twitter account that Street Fighter 6 continues the story from where Street Fighter 3: Third Strike left off. This makes Street Fighter 6 the first edition in the series to advance the storyline in over two decades.
