Pokémon Stadium Has Online Multiplayer On NSO
There will be support for up to four players in local and online multiplayer in Pokémon Stadium on the Nintendo Switch Online service. Unfortunately, internet play was not an option for the original N64 release. Pokémon Stadium’s local play mode was a big draw, so integrating the Nintendo Switch Online service for multiplayer is a fantastic addition to the game.
Pokémon Stadium Minigames Will Include Internet Multiplayer
When your Pokémon (or you) need a break from traditional combat, try out one of the nine minigames available in Pokémon Stadium, all of which can now be played online with friends in Nintendo Switch Online. Players can enjoy the anarchy of the minigames with their friends in multiplayer, whether they choose to play Magikarp’s Splash, Clefairy Says, Sushi-Go-Round, or any of the other options. Of course, you can also play these games by yourself, versus the AI of a computer.

Although no release window has been specified, Nintendo is planning to release Pokémon Stadium 2 on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service later this year, as was also stated in September’s Nintendo Direct.

Although the N64 version’s transfer feature was a major selling point of the game, many players would like to see it included in Pokémon Stadium, and some are now expecting that Pokémon Stadium 2 would rectify this.
New online features for Pokémon Stadium on Nintendo Switch Online allow players to compete against one another in battle or simply have fun playing minigames with their pals.
