The long-awaited Overwatch 2 PvE story campaign may finally have a release date, and players have found a possible clue. The future PvE DLC for Overwatch 2 will feature multiple heroes and give more backstory to the competitive shooter’s environment.
Blizzard said in November 2019 that Overwatch 2 would have a story campaign starring the series’ main characters. Hero Missions let players work together to fulfill objectives on PvP maps and are “deeply replayable,” according to Blizzard.
However, before Overwatch 2’s official release, the new PvE content was unavailable during the game’s early access period. Blizzard has stated that the new PvE content will be released in 2023.
However, a specific release date has not been disclosed. Overwatch 2 fans are patiently waiting for Blizzard to reveal additional information may have uncovered when the new PvE content will be released.
It was recently found by Twitter user FLX_nf and other Overwatch 2 fans that Blizzard is testing the first playable branch for Season 6, which could mean the release of PvE content in August.
Users believe that new versions in the test branch indicate that PvE and a new hero are shortly going to Overwatch two. Several players hope that PvE will debut at the beginning of Season 6, but multiple test versions open the possibility of a mid-season update.
