When it comes to guest characters, fighting games may be tough. You must ensure that the guest figure fits with the subject, gameplay, and overall tone of your game, but if done well, you can get some very cool crossovers.
NetherRealm Studios, the studio behind Mortal Kombat, is aware of this, which is why downloadable Kombat Packs have provided us with some truly bizarre DLC characters in previous MK games. The Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 1 is more of the same. The Mk1 Kombat Pack 1 Release Date will be discussed in this post.
Mk1 Kombat Pack 1 Release Date
Even though NetherRealm Studios has already shown the characters that will be in Mortal Kombat 1’s Kombat Pack 1, we only know that Homelander will come out in Spring 2024. We’ll make sure to update this page once we know the exact release dates for all the characters.
You can look at a Tweet that reveals when Mortal Kombat 1 and its characters will be out:

In the past, about every two months, a new figure would come out. This means that players might not be able to see all of Kombat Pack 1’s figures until a year after the game comes out.
How To Get The Kombat Pack For The Mortal Kombat 1 DLC
As of this writing, the only way to get the Kombat Pack is to buy the Premium or Collector’s Edition of Mortal Kombat 1. Both can be bought in advance and come with the same six extra figures as the first Kombat Pack. We’ll make sure to change this page when the DLC can be bought separately.
Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack Characters
Meet the ferocious fighters of Mortal Kombat 11’s Kombat Pack. The classic fighting game gains new levels of intensity and combat prowess thanks to these avatars. Prepare to unleash their special abilities and fight in epic battles.
You may discover more about each of the characters here:
Homelander
Homelander, one of The Boys’ greatest adversaries, answers the question, “Who would Superman be if he was evil and also had mommy issues?” Homelander possesses the following abilities: flight, super speed, thermal vision, super strength, near invulnerability, and the list goes on. He has a compulsive desire to be liked and enough arrogance to ignite a truck.
Homelander, unlike the rest of the other Kombat Pack 1 characters, is not a trained fighter. Instead, he defeats his opponents with brute force and near invulnerability. It’ll be interesting to see how that combination plays out in-game, especially since he appears to be taking Gen V with him.
Omni Man
Omni Man is another superhero from Robert Kirkman’s Invincible series. Omni Man is a unique twist on the “evil Superman” notion, boasting super strength, super speed, flying, near invulnerability, an increased healing factor, amazing longevity, and other attributes. There is, however, no heat vision.
Omni Man, unlike Homelander, is a trained combatant, thus it’ll be interesting to watch how that plays out in his gameplay. J.K. Simmons voices him in the animated adaption.

Peacemaker
We’re three for three on superheroes in the Kombat Pack. John Cena will reprise his role as Peacemaker, based on the title character from The Suicide Squad and James Gunn’s Peacemaker TV show.
A peacemaker is a jerk who believes that peace must be achieved at any cost. Peacemaker, a supersoldier who is proficient with many weapons and a firearms expert, may be an intriguing addition to the roster.
Ermac
Ermac is a Mortal Kombat character who started out as an urban legend before becoming a real character. Ermac, a mash-up of many souls that died during Outworld’s conflicts, defeats his opponents using teleportation and telekinesis.
Release Date for Mk1 Kombat Pack 1
Though he is sometimes portrayed as an enemy, Ermac sincerely cares for Outworld. His telekinetic abilities have made him capable of close-range combat, and he has excellent command grabs and mix-ups.
Quan Chi
Quan Chi is a highly skilled NetherRealm sorcerer and necromancer who appears as a secondary foe in Mortal Kombat. Quan Chi’s prior playstyle included using his magic as a trap zoner with high pressure and extremely cruel mix-ups. We’ll see if he continues to play like that in MK1.
Takeda
Takeda, the son of Kenshi and a student of Hanzo Hasashi (aka Scorpion), appeared in Mortal Kombat X but did not appear in Mortal Kombat 11 (though an in-game conversation reveals that he is engaged to Jacqui Briggs).
In Mortal Kombat X, Takeda excelled in footsies and long-ranged assaults to keep the opponent on guard during neutral. It is unknown how he will fare in MK1.
