There is finally a release date for the live-action Minecraft movie that has been in the works since 2014. The highly anticipated live-action Minecraft movie now has a release date, as announced by Warner Bros. Pictures. Many fans of Mojang’s popular sandbox game have been waiting for this announcement since 2014 when production on the film adaptation first began.
In 2019, it was announced that Jason Momoa would be appearing in the Minecraft movie, so it was the last time fans heard anything about the production. It would be an understatement to say that the production of this specific video game film has been everything but smooth. Notch, the inventor of Minecraft, intentionally leaked the video to the press before its official announcement.
This occurred during his time as an employee at Mojang. The movie was supposed to come out in 2019, but that date has been pushed back three times.
