When will CS2 be released?
Valve has only stated that Counter-Strike 2 will be released in the summer of 2023. Therefore, the most likely release window for the game is between May and June. It has been hypothesized that the limited beta will progress to a closed and open beta.
Those who have been waiting to play Counter-Strike 2 will now have the opportunity to do so. However, there is a significant possibility of delay because of major bug fixes and additional polish.

Counter-Strike 2 maps
The new Source 2 tools and rendering features were used to create the first counter-Strike two maps, included in the updated package. This implies that some of your favorite CS: GO maps will be remade entirely, while others will receive meticulous improvements.

A key touchstone map like Dust 2 will have its lighting and character read improved, but its foundations will remain the same. The overpass is being completely reworked to take advantage of new engine tools. Nuke will use new Source 2 lighting to create realistic materials, lighting, and reflections.
We’ve compiled a complete list of the Counter-Strike 2 maps we’ve seen in previews so far:
- Dust 2
- Italy
- Mirage
- Nuke
- Overpass
