Chrono Odyssey’s PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S release date is unknown. Chrono Studio has released a new, quite spectacular gameplay trailer that has piqued the interest of many enthusiasts.
Some may have been duped into thinking it was a sequel to Chrono Cross or Trigger. While the clip is fresh, the MMORPG has been in production and various testing phases for quite some time.
When is Chrono Odyssey coming out?
Chrono Odyssey’s Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S releases remain mysteriously unannounced. We can only guess, but 2024 seems like the most likely year.
MMORPG claims that the original release date for Chrono Odyssey was set for 2023, with testing beginning in 2021. Unfortunately, there is currently no release date for this new gameplay trailer. Because of this, 2024 is starting to look like a safer bet.
Given that a game of this scope may need more than a couple of alpha and beta testing rounds, the release date may not come until 2025 at the earliest.
This would ensure that Chrono Odyssey’s servers are ready for launch, especially if the game intends to support cross-platform play between PC and consoles.
Since Unreal Engine 5 was used to create the game’s open world of Setera, a lot of PC testing will be required to ensure that numerous systems can run Chrono Odyssey at a high, constant frame rate without stuttering.
The world’s weather and environs change with the seasons, suggesting that many particle effects and graphical features will be designed to tax modern GPUs.
