After a ten-year absence, Armored Core is now available to the public. Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, the next installment in From Software’s mech warfare series, will be released in 2023 and will be revealed tonight at The Game Awards 2022.
Although the existence of the game has been widely theorized for years, the CG video did not reveal much new information. Fans of the series will not be surprised to see a bleak future in which enormous robots battle it out. While the lava and ice are stunning, the CGI mechs are the real show-stoppers.
Even while it’s impossible to draw definite judgments from a CGI trailer, the first minute of Armored Core VI appears to have the introspective, somber ambiance of the Dark Souls games. The Steam release date has been set for 2023.
What Is Armored Core Game?
Armored Core[a] is a third-person shooter mecha video game series developed by FromSoftware. The series follows a mute protagonist as he works as a mercenary pilot in the near future, piloting huge robotic combat units known as Armored Cores for corporate and individual clients.
By performing missions for these patrons and spending the credits they receive, the player can improve the effectiveness of their Armored Core and gain access to other revenue streams. Certain games’ “Arena” feature allows users to compete in head-to-head combat against other players controlling Armored Core pilots in order to win money or achieve recognition.
Several plot arcs have been conceived and executed across the series’ 13 core games, 3 remastered re-releases, 2 console spin-offs, and 5 mobile spin-offs. The first game in the series, simply titled “Armored Core,” was released in 1997, while the most recent installment, dubbed “Armored Core: Verdict Day,” was released in 2013.
The twenty-fourth game in the series, Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon, has been in production since 2017 and is set to be released in 2022. The series games have been released for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, and Mobile Phones.

Instead, this chemical sparked a catastrophic event that engulfed the planet and the nearby stars in flames and storms, giving rise to what is now known as a Burning Star System.
