Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will soon have a new seven-star Tera raid battle to look forward to after waiting for several weeks. As the Gimmighoul Tera raids in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were winding down after nearly two weeks, news of the imminent battle began to spread.
Chesnaught the Unrivaled, a Rock-type Tera monster, was the opponent in the previous seven-star Tera raid battle between Scarlet and Violet Pokemon trainers. The fight against Chesnaught began in the middle of May, but the rematch was postponed for a few weeks because of bugs that caused the game to freeze after successful combat.
In June, gamers again faced off against Chesnaught, Great Tusk, and Iron Treads during the Scarlet and Violet Pokemon raids. A new seven-star Tera raid challenge is on its way to put players to the test.
Delphox the Unrivaled will be available to challenge from Friday, July 7 at 0:00 UTC through Sunday, July 9 at 23:59 UTC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players. The Fairy type will be Delphox’s Tera type.

Those Pokemon trainers who cannot make it this weekend will have another opportunity to battle Delphox the Unrivaled from Friday, July 14, through Sunday, July 16. The raid occurred only a few days after the release of Patch 1.3.2 for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which included changes for live tournaments and fixed several glitches.
Delphox is the final form of Fennekin, the Fire-type starter of Pokemon X and Y. Fennekin was originally a Fire and Psychic dual-type Pokemon from the Kalos area—the Fox Pokemon’s a swift attacker with a respectable special defense.
In Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, Delphox will have the Hidden Ability of Magician, just as the previous seven-star Tera raid bosses. Delphox can use this ability to Drifblim or Mismagius for various rewards.
Runs until January 22nd at 23:59 UTitems from their victim’s hands. Delphox the Unrivaled will test Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers’ strategies with moves like Magic Room, which nullifies all holding items for five turns.

Delphox can boost its special attack with Nasty Plot or Calm Mind and learn powerful techniques like Mystical Fire, Psychic, and Dazzling Gleam. The answer to defeating Delphox the Unrivaled may lie in using Dark and Poison dual-type Pokemon like Alolan Muk, Overqwil, and Skuntank, as well as Pokemon with Flash Fire like Heatran.
Delphox joins Greninja the Unrivaled and Chesnaught as the third Pokemon from X and Y’s respective starter sets to serve as a seven-star Tera raid boss. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Trainers will have their work cut out for them.
