The teaser exposes one of the most intriguing details about Asthon’s Marvel villain: she wears a specific piece of jewelry. In her brief appearances in The Marvels trailer, viewers will recognize her by the bangle she wears on her arm. The bracelet is identical to the one that gives Kamala her superpowers in the Ms. Marvel comics and TV show.
Many viewers will recall that after Kamala puts on the bangle, she gains the ability to control “hard light.” From the looks of the trailer, Ashton’s character has figured out how to use the bracelet to her benefit as well.

Through the course of the first season of Ms. Marvel, Kamala also discovered that the extremely potent bangle is one half of a matched set. They were from another dimension (they called themselves the Clan Destine) and intended to use the bangle to get home. They knew her grandma and wanted the bangle back.
It seems that after being separated for at least a few decades, the two bangles are destined to meet again at the same location and at the same time. Fans have pondered the possible relationship between the bangles and Shang-Chi’s Ten Rings, another intergalactic relic.
In Ms. Marvel, a flashback reveals that the bangle was first discovered in a Ten Rings temple. Being on another planet with Ashton’s persona and a bangle, both of which have extraterrestrial origins, could shed light on the history of the items.

The teaser for The Marvels also reveals an intriguing fact about Ashton’s character: the bangle isn’t the only extraordinary item she possesses. In other scenes, she is also holding a cosmic rod. She wields a massive staff that appears to be topped with an anvil. In the MCU, fans have seen a cosmic rod before, though it was probably not identical to this one. The Accusers employ a Kree Warhammer, which is why.

Who Is Zawe Ashton Playing In The Marvels?
Zawe Ashton plays a Marvel villain, but the teaser for The Marvels doesn’t give away the villain’s name. Maybe you were hoping it would be Lauri-Ell, a Kree made from Carol Danvers’ DNA to make them sisters, or maybe it would be Captain Marvel’s, old enemy Rogue. However, such is not the situation.
Marvel Studios has announced that Zawe Ashton will be portraying a character named Dar-Benn in the upcoming film The Marvels, despite the fact that his character’s name does not appear in the trailer. Ashton’s role in the film has been officially dubbed as such by the production company.
In the comics, Dar-Benn first appears as a male character, a Kree General. Ron Lim and Ron Marz first introduced the character in an issue of Silver Surfer. He orchestrated a coup d’état among the Kree, with the intention of having the Skrulls be held responsible for the death of the deposed monarch.
Dar-Ben was one of two Kree leaders following the coup, along with another man named Ael-Dan. However, the character only appears in a small number of Marvel Comics in the early 1990s, thus the MCU was able to build its own distinct interpretation of the character without facing too many similarities to the comic book version. On November 10th, 2023, The Marvels will be released in theaters.
