Yellowjackets (Season 2)
The second season of Yellowjackets, 2021’s most popular show, has premiered, giving fans hope that they may finally learn the truth about their beloved soccer club, which presumably eats each other.
All of our favorite characters from Season 1—Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, and Tawney Cypress—return for Season 2 as adults in the wake of a plane crash that left the girls’ soccer team stranded in the Canadian Rockies for 18 months.
New to the cast are Lauren Ambrose, Elijah Wood, and Simone Kessell, who plays the grown-up version of Antler Queen/cult leader Lottie. Yellowjackets air weekly on Showtime and are available on demand via Showtime.
New on Netflix March 23: The Night Agent
The Night Agent, based on a novel by Matthew Quirk, is a new Netflix series that channels John Grisham, John Le Carré, and Tom Clancy. Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso, is an FBI agent who gets caught up in a plot to expose a traitor at the highest levels of the United States government. Hong Chau, who was nominated for an Academy Award, D.B. Woodside, Luciane Buchanan, and Eve Harlow also appear in the film.
New on Apple TV+: My Kind of Country
My Kind of Country, a new competition series for Apple TV+, was created by Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgraves to find the next big thing in country music. The catch is that most of the competitors aren’t from the American Heartland, but rather from all over the world, bringing with them new perspectives and fiery interpretations of what it means to be a country. Contestants are helped along the route to winning an Apple Music reward by musicians Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton, and Orville Peck.
The following is the trailer for the upcoming film My Type of Country:
