The Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown release date is generating much buzz. After more than a decade gone, the franchise returns and one of the original open-world races could redefine the genre once more.
TDU Solar Crown remains shrouded in mystery despite numerous delays and pushes. However, more information is pouring out from KT Racing HQ as they are eager to show off the sections of the game that are nearly ready to go. Thus, we’re here to give you what we know thus far about TDU Solar Crown’s release date!
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Release Date
The Test Drive Unlimited game’s release date is still uncertain. It was supposed to be released on September 22, 2022. However, it was postponed until 2023. A precise release date has yet to be determined.
We’re not too upset about the delay because we’ve seen the trailers, and we’re pretty interested to see what happens when the game finally comes out. Games typically require a 3-4 month development before release, so players shouldn’t expect to be racing around Hong Kong until at least September 2023.
Hong Kong Island deep dive
Hong Kong is set to be a fantastic area to explore, with everything from small-town streets to broad open motorways where you can maximize speed to winding off-road mountain routes.
In a recent newsletter update, KT Racing offered visual updates on the map we’ll all be racing around. The 370-square-mile landscape of Hong Kong Island is being rebuilt in 1:1 size, but it will not be an exact reproduction.
“To emphasise the fast and smooth driving, for example, the very dense urban network of HKI needed some small adjustments because of certain little streets that were very (too?) narrow.”
“Conversely, some light redesign was done to the major thoroughfares to make them more fun and adapted to high-speed cars, while respecting the identity of Hong Kong Island.”
