So, What Exactly Happens To Sang-woo And Ali In Ep 6?
One of the most shocking turns in the show’s history is about to be revealed… After Sang-woo starts to lose at the game of odds and evens using Ali’s marbles, he convinces Ali to switch it up.
He convinces Ali that they’re stronger together, but then betrays Ali to protect himself. Once the game is over, Sang-woo approaches the security guards and displays the twenty marbles he won to them before leaving the arena. The camera then returns to Ali, who opens up his backpack and takes out several items to examine.

It seems that Sang-woo stole Ali’s marbles and replaced them with stones from a nearby planter. After Ali learns of the workers’ betrayal, he becomes distraught and is eventually murdered.

Squid Game Episode 6 Review
What a tense situation. It’s a vicious game, yet it brings out the best and worst in everyone. Sang-deception Woo’s of Ali is cunning, but it exemplifies the lengths to which he will go to pay off his debts. Even if this was planned out from the beginning, seeing Ali fall for it is terrible.
Similarly, Deok-Soo witnesses Gi-warning Hun’s materialize as his minion nearly double crosses him while taunting. A victory for the boss, however, ensures his advancement to the following round.
But Player 1 is the one who suffers the most loss. This guy has been the show’s bright spot the whole time, so his untimely demise is particularly tragic. Despite Gi-initial Hun’s generosity and bravery disintegrating after he cheats on the impoverished guy, he and the man eventually make good on their pledge to become gganbu.
