Sega likes to throw curveballs at their Sonic fans, so they made a new murder mystery game starring the Blue Blur and his pals available for free on Steam under the name The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog.
The debut trailer, which presents the game as a visual novel, was released today by Sonic’s social media team, announcing the terrifying new game.

“Has been a labor of love from the Sonic Social team and a host of amazingly talented people who are just as passionate about Sonic as we are.”
Amy Rose is having a murder mystery party for her friends on the Mirage Train in her birthday book, The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog. You play as a new crew member who just so happens to be joining the train on the day Sonic is murdered, and you must cooperate with Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Rouge, and others to uncover the truth about Sonic’s death.
