Gameloft’s kart racing game, “Disney Speedstorm,” will launch in Early Access on April 18 for numerous consoles and computers. Popular cartoon characters drive fast karts and have special abilities that fit their personalities in this arcade-style racing video game.
“Disney Speedstorm” Elevates Kart Racing
In “Disney Speedstorm,” players “strap up and tackle the high-speed circuits as some of [their] favorite Disney and Pixar characters in an explosive cross-platform arcade combat racing game,” as stated in the official release statement.
The game has both a single-player “Season Tour” and a multiplayer option where players can compete against each other locally or over the internet. Players will race around famous Disney settings at high speeds, with more characters and customizable vehicles being added to the roster in the future.
There will be holiday-themed content, new racers, new tracks, and “regular updates” to collectibles in “Disney Speedstorm.”
Founder’s Packs
Early Access versions of Disney Dreamlight Valley by Gameloft had the option to buy Founder’s Packs. They give backers extra bonuses in exchange for their support before the game’s official release.
You can pick up one of “Disney Speedstorm’s” three Founder’s Packs from the Nintendo eShop, the Microsoft Store, or the Epic Games Store right now. There will be a pre-order launch on the PlayStation Store on March 20.
Gamers who pre-order a Founder’s Pack on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, or the Epic Game Shop will receive a range of rewards depending on the level chosen. Steam players on PC can wishlist the game today and purchase a Founder’s Pack option starting on April 18 to obtain the Donald Duck cosmetics as a bonus.

- All racers unlocked via the Founder Pack purchase (including the player’s chosen racer) will receive unique racing outfits and kart liveries.
- Donald’s racing kart gets a unique set of wheels and wings featuring the Avatar and the Founder’s Motto.
Players on different platforms will be able to team up and compete for thanks to the game’s cross-play and cross-save features. Players will need to buy a Founder’s Pack for each platform they want to use the cross-save feature on. Once paid for, linked accounts will have this capability.
On April 18th, Disney Speedstorm will be available for purchase and early access on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Xbox 360 S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The trailer announcing early access is available for viewing on YouTube now.
